The Challenge To develop a tool for Councils to interrogate tree asset inspection data. Tree asset inspection and condition assessments are routinely undertaken by inspection companies for Council Asset Managers to manage risks and spends. Our client was an arborist consultant seeking to provide smarter data access and insights to their end clients (Councils).
Finding a Solution Historical tree asset data was provided for three councils, providing tree annual inspection data for the past 5 years. Cast Solutions developed a range of visual analytics data insights using this data. Cast Solutions also sought other data sources to overlay. This provided enhanced decision making and analysis. Our solution was the basis for the consultant to demonstrate a new service and product offering.
The Outcome Cast Solutions developed a tool for the consultant arborist to use in client meetings. The App enhanced the client engagement level, aligned to progressive asset management decision approaches. The consultant was delighted with the outcome and the ease of bringing the data analysis together. They are able to demonstrate trends and scenarios.
The Client Our client provides specialist arborist and horticultural advisory services to tree asset owners. Their client base falls into two categories: urban and rural Councils; and residential and commercial developers.
